"I understand how to seek out funding, entrepreneurial and career opportunities, and how to make the most of them."
Firstly, this means that you know how to find funding opportunies and create effective applications, as well as understanding the processes and timescales involved in academic funding.
It also means that you understand how to seek out career opportunities; not just finding jobs but being able to judge whether they fit with your current career plans, and maintaining an awareness of opportunities to engage in entrepreneurial activities and how to take advantage of them.
There are several offices within the University which can help you with understanding funding, such as the Research Operations Office, Research Strategy Office and Finance Division.
The Careers Service can provide assistance in developing the skills needed to find and take advantage of employment opportunities, and there are a wealth of resources available in Cambridge for those interested in entrepreneurship.
