Postgraduate Researcher Development

"I can lead others and participate in successful coaching and mentoring relationships."

A successful researcher must be able to act as an effective leader; a valuable skill in any career. Engaging with coaching and mentoring, and developing your own skills as a coach or mentor, can likewise can be highly beneficial to your progress. You are likely to find yourself acting as both mentor and mentee at different points throughout your career.

You can develop these skills by taking opportunities to be a leader whilst you are doing your PhD, such as organising a conference or seminar series, as well as through courses run by Researcher Development.
