  3. Who is the target audience for this activity (examples include: first-years, finalists, all PhD  students, postdocs)?
  4. What format will the activity take (examples include: talk, webinar, workshop, online course, face-to-face meeting)?
  5. What is the maximum number of participants?
  6. What is the expected number of participants?

 

Assessment criteria

  1. Need. What is the specific training or professional development need that this activity will meet? How was this need identified? (max. 200 words)
  2. Distinctiveness. Why can this training need not be met using Foundation Funds? To what extent is this activity distinct from existing training offered by the University's specialist RD providers? (max. 200 words)
  3. Inclusivity. How will the training activity be made as accessible to as wide an audience as possible? If the proposed audience is limited to a single Faculty/Department, what is the rationale? (max. 200 words)
  4. Digital legacy. What kind of digital legacy (e.g. recordings, asynchronous materials) will the event leave behind? How will any digital legacy be curated and promoted to the researchers? (max. 200 words)
  5. External speakers. What is the name if any proposed external speaker, and what is their expertise? If this speaker has been employed before, what evaluation was carried out? (max. 200 words)
